The Cubby Project
BUSTER SIMPSON // SURVEYOR
Frye Art Museum, 2013

A public engagement project, designed to engage Museum visitors of all ages to propose projects to be housed in a 14” x 14” cubby. The call for proposals challenged potential participants to stimulate dialogue and create a place of exchange, reflection, and action in conjunction with the exhibition, BUSTER SIMPSON // SURVEYOR. The seven chosen projects added a distinctive voice to the ecological dialogue and utilized the cubby as a resource center, presented challenges, offered solutions, and gave away products.

On the occasion of the cubby Project a zine was published. The zine included and contextualized information about the organizations and individuals that were selected and the projects that fill their cubbies.
